Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Remote Viewing Protocol (“rvprotocol.com”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. Related rules for accounts and billing are in our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: email address and authentication data handled by our auth provider (Supabase).
• Session content: impressions, chips, sketches, guesses, and related progress you create in guided or practice sessions.
• Billing data: subscription status, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, and plan tier. Card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage / technical: guest identifiers (cookies), basic logs, and device/browser data needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Communications: messages you send to admin@rvprotocol.com.

3. How we use information

• Provide accounts, sessions, archive, and field notes
• Enforce free-tier limits and membership entitlements
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
• Generate AI-assisted field notes from your locked session content (sent to our AI provider solely for that analysis)
• Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and debug issues
• Respond to support and billing requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your session content for public marketing.

4. Processors and sharing

We use trusted processors to run the Service, including:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• Stripe — payments and billing portal
• OpenAI (or similar) — generating field notes from session text

They process data on our instructions and under their own privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and users from fraud or abuse.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar storage for authentication, guest free-tier tracking, and security. The Service is not designed around third-party advertising cookies.

6. Retention

We keep account and session data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account through Settings, we remove or anonymize associated personal data subject to legal or billing retention needs (for example Stripe payment records).

7. Your choices

• Update email/password via account flows where available
• Cancel membership via Settings → Manage billing
• Delete your account in Settings (after canceling an active paid plan)
• Contact us at admin@rvprotocol.com for access or deletion questions

8. International processing

Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate (including outside Singapore). We use processors that provide appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
